The Department of Modern Languages and the Institute for Portuguese and Lusophone World Studies is pleased to present a 20 panel exhibit on the history of Fado. The exhibit presents the rise of the popular urban music of Lisbon from theatres to recordings to radio broadcasts to international venues. Produced by the Museu do Fado/Museum of Fado it is brought to RIC through the courtesy of the Consulates of Portugal in New Bedford and Providence. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours.
