If you’ve ever wondered whether your writing assignments are
any good or whether you’re even assigning writing ‘right’ in the first place,
this presentation is for you. Writing researcher Dan Melzer wanted to know what
kinds of papers college professors assign when they assign writing, and why.
Melzer downloaded and analyzed over 2,000 writing assignments. In this
presentation, Mike Michaud (English) will share Mezer’s findings and discuss
the relevance of that work for faculty.
