National Coming Out Day was founded by Robert Eichberg and Jean O’Leary in 1988 to commemorate the March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights a year earlier on October 11th. The purpose of the day is to promote awareness and celebrate the LGBTQ community. This year marks the 27th anniversary of NCOD. Did you get a t-shirt at the Unity Center?
